The Jadot House:
Around thirty years is the time it took Louis Henri Denis Jadot to found the House in 1859 and establish the values of a family business. It was by developing the wine trade towards the markets of Northern Europe that he already contributed to the reputation of Burgundy wines at the time. Subsequently, several generations will succeed one another at the head of the family business.
The vines are planted on granite and clay-limestone soils, which give the wine a beautiful minerality and a certain aromatic complexity. The vines have an average age of 50 years, which contributes to the concentration of aromas and flavors in the wine.
The vinification of Moulin à Vent “Château des Jacques” is done in the traditional way, with cold pre-fermentation maceration for several days, followed by alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for around 12 months, which gives it a certain complexity and woody aromas.
Storage: Wine for great aging, very distinguished, it can age for 10-15 years or even 20 depending on the vintages and storage conditions. Carafing strongly recommended.
