Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Télégramme Châteauneuf-du-Pape
À quoi s'attendre ?
Informations supplémentaires
Its tannins are fine but mixed with tones of white pepper.
To the eye, it reveals a pretty intense red color. On the nose, this Télégramme Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine reveals notes of red fruits, scrubland and lavender.
Since 1891, exactly 6 generations, the domain of the old telegraph has been operated by the Brunier family. The vineyard, with an average age of 60 years, is located on the famous Crau plateau, a center of viticulture in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
To produce the Télégramme vintage, the family uses the production of young vines less than 30 years old, as well as older plots not located on the Crau and Piedlong plateaus.
The cellars are located 2 km to the south, at the foot of the plateau, at a place called Le Pigeoulet, where it was more natural to sink into the forming rock to create the aging cellars, and take advantage of the cutting of the soil for the gravity transport of crops.
For more than a century, the Brunier family has been producing red and white Châteauneuf du Pape here, strongly influenced by their terroir, a rampart behind which it can protect its vintages from the onslaught of excessive modernity.
